Jorell Legaspi is a fashion and portrait photographer based in Qatar. Born and raised in the Arabian Gulf, and having lived in the Philippines and Africa, Jorell naturally developed a creative approach that transcends different tastes and cultures.
His career began in music marketing and media relations at BMG Records, in the Philippines. He later moved on to cultural affairs at the Alliance Francaise de Manille, where close ties and participation in the bustling art community inspired him to pursue photography and visual communication. He returned to Qatar in 2005 and served as Head of Creative Design and Photography Services at The Art of Business, a reputed marketing communications and publishing company in Doha.
Jorell joined the Qatar Museums Authority in 2010 as Creative Head of Communications at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. Currently, he is Head of Publications at the Museum of Islamic Art, one of Qatar's iconic cultural institutions.
He also contributes to Middle East editions of Esquire and Harper's Bazaar, and collaborates with local designers, stylists and creatives.
